Kansas City Indoor Rock Climbing Gym with 20 top rope loops and 60 top rope lines, plus a huge bouldering area full of beginner and advanced routes. Holds are changed every few months, bit by bit, so get a membership and go all year long.
Emerald City is a huge kids gymnastics building and kids birthday party spot that also has an indoor top rope climbing wall. Pricing here is great, with a 7-visit pass going for $35, but the wall is small, and is usually crowded with people on the weeknights with half off specials.
Indoor Climbing Gym in Columbia, Missouri, where you can pick up a copy of the Climber's Guide to the Midwest's Metamorphic Forms by Marcus Floyd. The gym is closed on Sundays as of Spring 2011, so check their site and call ahead to make sure they are open. Buy a copy of the book for a friend too, they will appreciate it.
